Alupka, Crimea, Ukraine - Vorontsov's Palace and Park in Alupka
Very picturecque is the park, a fine monument of landscape gardening.
The talented German gardener, Karl Kebach, has been working on its creation for several decades. The park ascends from seacoast - huge, shady, excellently laid out and very rich in rare plants (some 200 species).
Its shady alleys, thickets and bay trees and magnolias have many cozy corners for rest. Mysterious grottos, ringing cascades, crystal lakes and green glades enhance the beauty of the park.
